SOLO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The Solo World Championship, registered since 2015, is now in its tenth edition and currently represents the most populated SOLO Latin and Ballroom World Championship in the world, with 51 nations participating in 2024. It is held in the spectacular setting of the Gran Teatro Salone Margherita in Naples.

Organized by the European Dance Organization and hosted by the Naples Open Dance Festival since 2017, it is a goal and finish line on the agendas of all solo dancers worldwide.

Given the large number of participants from the 2023 edition, it will be essential to qualify for the first rounds at the Palasport di Cercola the day before the theater.

The final rounds will be held the following day at the large Teatro Salone Margherita.

The duration of the musical piece is 1’05″/1.40″.

Programs are free for the 5 dance categories and for the
Single Dance and Multidance categories.

However, for the U8, U10, and U12 categories, a competition program is mandatory. Open dresses are also not permitted, but the same restrictions apply in these categories.

For all other rules for this Title, please refer to the IDF regulations and the BDSA mandatory programs.

Please note that you can participate in any competition, including multiple competitions, if your age is accepted by the category.

The Championship follows BDSA regulations regarding limited programs and BMP dance regulations, but ultimately not the behavior of dancers and judges.
